Sorry for the delay in answering the garage is called Smallbrook near Atherton in GTR Manchester.
They say the cluster is damaged and once replaced they will do the alignment but to be honest they did look a bit gormless when i mention proxy alignment

huuuum o dear was that the tech looking gormless or just someone on the front desk

i wonder if they know anything about the reseting mielage in the new dash and the distance till next service counter and such

it's all very complicated and often needs to be input in kilometers

make a note of the total mileage and the distance till next service when you go in

see if they do it right or fudge it up

o and if they still look gormless point him in this direction

control unit tests>input cars data and continue>other systems>proxy alighnment procedure
