bit of an update on this one.
the interscope is a very well rounded sound it by no meens sounds like a boy racers corsa if thats what you want dont bother ! it is however very high quality if you enjoy music and not just pure boom boom its well worth the money,

( although it will shake the mirrors with bass for those traffic light stops just to get some more people staring :D )

Damn i really can't wait to get mine now....

I tested a 500 with this the other day and i would put it on a par with the bose set up's you can get in other manufactures like mazda. i recomend it to anyone, but the only bad side is that you lose the storage pocket under the passenger seat.

I got mine at the weekend too, fitted with interscope. The sound system is great, really quality chrisp sound and as said above its not boom boom. Even the radio tuner sounds great.

I had no idea you lost the storage compartment on the passenger side. I guess i best try and stop flinging it about trying to open it. :D

possible, but the sub is located under the drivers seat the cubby is under passenger side, so no idea why its not there:confused:
My logic (oxymoron right there ;)) is that the sub is connected to the floor of the car, and so is the compartment (I have never seen one mind you!) so when the sub vibrates the floor, the compartment does also, and the mental image of the compartment that I am getting has the compartment resonating with it.

But tbh, I know nothing about sound systems, and nothing practical about 500's.

I picked up my car today - with Interscope. It sounds great. There are lots of options to set up the bass and treble. With a neutral setting and the volume cranked up it sounds really quite "Hi-fi" (is that a retro term?).

It was the first car my dealer had seen and he was impressed with it too (then again, he would say that wouldn't he:)).

Meant to say - the first car he'd seen (or heard I guess) with Interscope.

Anyhow, its really very impressive and well worth the upgrade cost if anyone is considering it.

Car is great, dealer was great. I'm very happy with it all.

£250, imagine an ipod with standard headphones then you get some bose ones thats kinda the best way i can describe it. just dont expect boy racer levels of bass

Cool. I hate boyracer base. I like it suttly mixed in with the music so I can listen to the song I'm listening to and not a load of noise, lol.

Hope you all enjoy it. £250 sounds like a bit of a bargin to me!

Jon.

I got mine on Saturday and not sure of the lots of options for bass and treble. Just found the standard ones on the stereo and cranked the bass up otherwise the sub was a little rubbish!

There's a graphic equaliser with a number of pre-defined settings and one you can set up yourself. It'll thump the bass out if you set it right (if that's your thing).

the sub is active 100w (it has power going to it and is fused) and the amp powers all the mids and tweeters 30w each. amp is located in the right hand rear pannel in the boot sub is under drivers seat.

Any pictures of the amp anyone. Wo Wonder if you could change it to a better one.

Just read this, thought i would share it.

http://www.motiontrends.com/2007/m07/Fiat/Fiat_500_interscope.shtml

"The original sound system has six speakers: two 30 Watt tweeters and four full-range (two 40 Watt and two 35 Watt).
......
The new Interscope Sound System comprises six speakers (two tweeters, two woofers and two full-range, all 40 W), one 100 W sub-woofer and a 30 W amplifier. What makes the sound experience on board the car unique is the fact that the Interscope Sound System uses 3 different methods of processing the signal and the related acoustic effects simultaneously."
