I will have 2 TT vents spare if anyone wants them?.

I will update this when the parts have arrived and ive fitted them
Re: New Mk2 Punto: Project Orange

Oh haha, in that case yeah Of course. (y)

Nice. So I just get a 'normal' gear knob and replace it, only ensuring the spring doesn't get lost?
Thanks

Also guys I typed up a guide to this mod here for anyone wanting to do this mod themselves - https://www.fiatforum.com/punto-mk2...-tt-punto-mk2-air-vent-fitting.html?p=4084104

Sidenote, I have TWO extra TT vents Im selling. Anyone feel free to PM for details if your interested in purchasing them and doing this mod. :slayer:

Bloody hell, how hard is it to remove the vents just took me almost 20 minutes to get one side out . I'm going to get the other side out and mod them on the weekend .

Wish I was . I have another punto on my front garden that I'm stripping for parts and I took them out of that one first before I touched my own and they didn't come out very easy either.

That sucks mate. Were they glued in or something?. Mine werent lose or flappy by any means but With force levered out fine. Wonder why. What vents were the stock ones for you?. Were they the same as my stock vents?

Same as yours but black. When I levered the passenger side on the front came off and the vent fins fell out . did you damage your dash at all ?

:ROFLMAO: haha. Jesus.

no major damage to the Dash at all. 1 TINY little scrape on the passenger side vent just above it. Little bit of Screwdriver slippage made a small gauge. its not noticeable at all really.

Haha . Any updates on yours ? Changed anything else yet ?

Im waiting for my new Trims to arrive so I can get the sandpaper, primer and Satin Black/Lacquer going for that blacked out look. Im then on to Tenerife for a week so nothing until Im back (y)

Im handy on Photoshop so I did a mess about with this whilst I was bored -

Not sure about the Carbon bonnet and roof now though. Ah well

That definitely looks nice but minus the carbon. Maybe add some hekos on there?

love the black alloys for sure!!! :slayer: and agreed about the bonnet, thats the reason I think Im against it now. If the car was white I would probably.

and yeah agreed, the carbon is overkill. Good Idea about the Wind Deflectors. I will add those and get rid of the Carbon. (y)

Re: New Mk2 Punto: Project Orange

Hi mate.
Where would I get one of those non lift reverse plastic sleeves you speak of.
Managed to remove the knob quite easily just need to buy that part.

Thanks

you disgard the plastic sleeve if your swapping to a regular reverse etc. So if the plastic sleeve is off now you can fit any gaiter and gear knob you want (y)

the one i purchased was a gear knob from an hgt punto and the gaiter was included. Just scan ebay man. Its where i found mine. No need for the sleeve
