Starting work on our '78 X and wanting to get rid of the old points and condenser so here asking who has experience with what alternatives. It seems to me that for $105 from Vick's going with a whole new dizzy would be the way to go here.

Vicks distributor poor Chinese clone. Go for used Bosch unit or Lumenition conversion. Both very good. Lumenition unit, inexpensive and a fit in your distributor. Need new (electronic ignition) coil for both
