Hi all,

I've been looking for a new ignition barrel or better than that, a ignition switch contact that sits behind the barrel.

Does anyone have one for sale, or know of where I could find one?

Any help would be gratefully received

Does anyone know if the contact connectors on the back of a mrk 1 ignition barrel are the same as the mrk 2?

As an educated guess, I would say they would... but reassurance would be nice

The switches in the back of the barrel can be different, between the early Mk1 and later Mk 1 versions.
It is how the barrel connects with the switch that is different.

An 84 is different from some later ones, as I found out when I had an issue.
I the end I sprayed lots of contact cleaner in my old one and got it going again, for now!
