Hi Guys,

I'm convert my MK2 Turbo to N/A, the modification only removing all Piping and reposition the AFM horizontal than conect with L rubber Pipe...

but I didn't do change yet on Compression issue....

do you have anyidea how to increase the compression without harm to the engine and especailly when later I want to put back the Garrett T2/T3 ?

They only way to increase the compression ratio is the make the internal cylinder volume smaller, piston change is the only way without resorting to any machining work

Not worth the hassle, just build a 8-valve 1500cc N/A engine and drop it in!
Keep the turbo loom and stuff there because a 1500cc N/A engine will be carb'd!

But dont expect any N/A Fiat 8-valve (all bar properly tuned ones!) to out perform a basic Fiat 8-valve Turbo engine.

I can see what you'd like to achieve but your going the wrong way about it mate
 
Im sure this guy had a problem with his turbo, (blown) and can't get any parts from anywhere near him, unlike me, today i went and picked up the gear linkage, and rear tow eye from louie bee! half an hour there and back, cheers lewis!! Ant!
 
The compression ratio is the least of your worries. If this is temporary why worry anyway. it will run ok as is. Just put the turbo back on asap!
 
replace your pistons with non-turbo type, and feel the 9:1 CR
