I got a new fiat tipo 1.6 etorq a week ago and I'm having a problem with my remote key, after Leaving the car for a while when I try to lock or unlock the car the remote key does not respond except after pressing buttons multiple times then it repsonds and unlocks the car, the remote then works normally, after parking for a few hours, the problem appears again, I changed the remote battery but the problem still exists
Any ideas about that problem???
P.s where is the bcm antenna located??

I had this problem and the cause was corodation and oxidation on cables contacts at the alarm unit (my remote key goes through alarm sistem). I fixed it with contact spray and mechanichal cleaning those contacts.
The antenna should come from the unit up neat the window, underneath the lining and it sits somewhere under the roof.
Also, it can be something broken inside the remote key. You should check, or have someone who has the equipment to chek it, the signal strenght.
