they look nice mate, im going to fit new PI 35mm drop springs, get my K and N performance filter fitted, get a novitec exhaust system fitted and finally......get tinted windows in the rears and boot. maybe in the future i might get an ECU remap done but i cant atm as i only passed my test 1 month ago and the insurance will go through the roof :p

What silly person would declare remap

I did ;) Oh, and the Abarth alloys and the induction kit and the suspension kit (y)
Too many incidents in the last 3 years (not my fault either!) to not declare the modifications. The lot costs me around £90 extra per annum - I can cope with that

IMHO it would be a silly person who failed to declare their mods to their insurers :shakehead: If things go 'tits up' then things could be tricky

Anyway - next modification..... might be a whole new car or might treat the silver beastie to a respray and a schumi front bumper - if one ever comes up for sale again!

The shades look gash IMO i would just pay the money (I paid £200 for 70% back and sides 30% front doors and a tint sunstrip) and i think it looks the dogs danglies it really makes the car look nice)
All my mods are insured apart from the ICE which i am trying to sort ATM to anybody who doesnt i have been there so i cant preach but it doesnt always cost as much as you think.

My next mod is to fit the Strut brace that i was sposed to do today.

Then Coilovers, wheels, bucket seats and maybe some graphics in the summer if i ever get round to designing them.

My ICE is an ever ongoing project so next on the agenda is sound deadening, fitting a truck alternator, and 3 batteries in the boot (FCUK no's how i am going to get them in there but i will :D

Oh I am on the look out for some kind of special one off way of geting loud Mid and Treble so i will be having the mono channel of the DLS amp modified to play the right frequency.

See the sig :p

Suspension's been on the cards a while now, just keep trying to eek out the £££s for it. My mate's got some spring compressors, so probably be able to fit it ourselves to save some of said £££s. Get the stutbrace on at the same time so I can use proper bolts rather than self tappers (y)

After Christmas and my Birthday next month, should have some extra funds for the above. Can't wait to finally get it done :D

Best way to fit the brace IMHO

Get the tacking done straight away, don't wait. Get the suspension kit and brace on then get the tracking just right. Also, check condition of the drop links and the front suspension arms before you fit the kit. You might need to change 'em all - I did, but that's because I wanted the car to be spot on suspension wise.

Enjoy :D

Yeah, drop links will need done. Had a horrible creaking noise from the NS on Saturday. Took it to the garage and the lubricated the various ball joints, etc, which combated that. When the mechanic was looking at that, he said the drop link needed replacing, but not right away, so shall get both of them done in the New Year. May even tackle them myself if I feel confident enough :)

I've factored in the cost of getting the tracking done properly after the suspension's on. Want RGZ to get the best out of the new set up after all (y)

my next mod--- i dont know, was hoping to sell the stilo, and get a new car all together, but its proving hard to get a half decent price ( i knew it would) so i may keep it a while longer, and get a remap at the next opportunity... need to make my mind up whether to keep it or not

Its a bad time to sell a car at the moment bro and it being a stilo ..even harder..the fact you have gone and done the same as I did and modify the car makes it even less tempting a buy unless another member wants a modded car..in the end I said sod it and just bit the bullet and had done with it..you are going to lose a load of cash on the car unless you can maybe take off some of the bits and sell them separately .. put the car back to as near standard as possible..that might then take away some of the pain and the sagging feeling in your pocket when you part with it in the end..good luck mate whatever you decide to do..(y)

well, all that has changed is suspension, which i can remove as i have the original kit still.
the wheels are now black, which im not changing. and i can remove the vinyl from bonnet and roof. don't know though... everyone always stares and says how good it is..
and it still feels good when you see people perving on your car.. dont care what anyone says lol :p
might keep it till the recesion is over.. and just cry myself to sleep at night...

Good thing is you didn't go down the body kit route..that got me plenty of attention as well but usually from the police..:D when I did go out and about in mine I usually picked up a tail from the friendly plod and 6 points and £120 in fines in the two years I had her [all my fault that one ] ;) ..they always had a big shock when they saw it was being driven by a 59 year old chav git in a baseball cap  I left the car as it was when it went and the next owner had the fun with the £6,000 it cost me doing my thing..that is the hard part to swollow of the whole exercise and why I always tell new prospective modders to sit back and think before you leap..(y)

Most forms of modding are nothing more than a money sink as there's virtually no chance of getting even a small portion of the money you've spent back :(

If you get enjoyment from the car then fair enough but replacing a car soon after you've modded it is about as dumb as it gets (n) (even if you might make the chancellor happy ;))

Remember you haven't actually lost the money until you sell the car :)
