Panda Yet another 100HP

Introduction

He's home. (y)

Only just got back, so this is a rush. The lightest clutch and steering wheel in the world. I haven't tried sport yet.

It is a little bouncy, but not that hard... However, those bloody brick speedbumps that are outside my house are a nightmare. I have to drive over them at 1MPH.

The sub doesn't do anything until the EQ is in 'Rock' then it gets a bit loud. :D

Tiny mirrors are very very tiny.

I'm working tomorrow afternoon, he must be washed and polished before I show him off. :p
I look/lusted over the Mito, and for me I'm glad I went for the 100hp.
2 reasons,
It has 5 doors, small people are easy to get in and out, or can do it themselves.
And, better power to wieght, plus the steering feel is better, plus like me it's old school.

To be honest, I had a really tough time working away from a 159 ti god dam!
But it was too big, too many dings, and it under steered badly in my view, still loved it.

Yep - I was tempted with the Mito. It comes in yellow and was pretty much the same size as my old Alfasuds. Sweet memories.

However - the doors are even worse than the 500 and Alfa aren't going to make a 4 door Punto...I mean Mito. So....no thanks.

100hp is great fun with what it has, just as the Seicento is great fun with what that has.

Time for an update?

Is 100hp actually enough - I was looking at a MiTo with an extra 5hp on top....

The power you have is never enough. ;)

The Big Punto/Mito is a good car, having used one for a couple thousand miles. But, its alot bigger and it has many blind spots. Plus 5hp more is nothing when it's a much bigger car.

Of course its not enough but its enough for the Panda 100hp.

They're soo much fun.

Had a dice up with a lowered Lexus IS 200 on the way home and he couldn't shake me off......:D

Am I wrong in imagining you're both on a hump-infested urban street. He's chewing the road-bumps at 6mph and you're right there with him, both sick as dogs and 4 inches shorter when you get out of the car?

There's little that hurts unreconstructed man like having a Panda making him look foolish. You may as well call his beer a woman.

Nope...nice fast A road nr Sidmouth, i was quite dissapointed as either he couldn't drive or the iS 200 is a load of old pony.

So... I was in traffic and a guy pulled along side in a Ferrari California and checked the car out. :D

No one knows what the 100hp is thats why, they know the panda shape but the extra sporty bits just don't compute......and if you put Abarth badges on that really confuses people although i do get nods from the local yoofs.

This is very true, most people seem to have no idea what the 100HP is.

It seems to gets one of two reactions from most people I know:

1) Odd looks at a sporty Panda, with no idea what model it is
2) People who mock it for being an OAP-mobile, prior to having their vertebrae dislocated by the 100HP's ride

Also, passengers seem to look very worried about corner entry speeds on quality B-roads when they're in what they think is "just a Panda" haha .

This is why i love it....there are cars and then there is 100hp......

I forget where it was TBH. It was in about 2004, had a number plate which said ENZO (Or numbers and letters forced together to read something like ;) )

If you want proper mansions around here, you have to go to Swanland.:cool:
I drove through there on a hunt for some quality B-roads to blast down in the 100HP. It was primary school kicking out time and the sides of the roads were lined with Mercs, Porsches, Audis and BMWs, I felt distinctly out of place in my five and half year old Fiat Panda haha :D.
