Technical X230 Heater Fan Not Working

Hi,

The heater fan in my 2001 X230 has stopped working. It was noisy on speed 2 but worked on all four settings. Now it has suddenly stopped working completely. Prior to this it stopped and started a few times but now nothing. Any clues as to how to find out if it is the switch, resistor, the fan or a loose connection?

Any advice welcome!

Hopefully this is not a bad steer , in the X250 I had the same symptons and it turned that the RELAY in the passenger footwell had bad contacts , I cleaned them up on advice I got here and all is still well to this day , hope it works on your model
