did you try that with old or new switch?
If it was new switch in boiling water whilst connected to vehicle wiring, with ignition on, would say the new switch is duff, as when you bridge contacts in vehicle connector the fans run.
It is a puzzle.
Heating in water while connected to vehicle wiring in situe could be the key here.
It was the new switch. So I will try with old tonight and check continuity first👍

Ok so tested old switch again and getting continuity and making fans work when in contact with bottom of pan but when suspended in boiling water no continuity. So maybe it’s only switching on at 120 degrees or something. The new one I have is maybe however unlikely not working properly also. I’m picking up another tomorrow from a local supplier (only 7euros) also picking up a couple switches which hopefully I won’t need. Will update when sorted.
Many thanks guys 👍

Hi,

If fans came on full speed switch in boiling water but in contact with bottom of pan , no slow speed first , the internal slow speed switch is looking faulty .
Coolant boils higher than plain water and the system is pressurised increasing the boiling point further but I wouldn't want fans high speed turning on after say 105 degrees c.

Good luck with next switch (-:

Cheers
Jack

I meant to ask when you jump the low speed wire to ground so both fans turn on slow speed?
