Technical wrong oil ???

just looking at the receipt i got from the fiat dealer when i went for the oil change

it says....

ZOIL-WR54-40 (SELENIA KPE)

my engine is GP 1.4 DYNAMIC SPORT 8V (77BHP)

is this the right oil for my engine ??? or is it for the diesel engines they have used ??

im worried.....

Why do you think its wrong? its says in the handbook what oil it takes.

well i did search this forum before i posted...
and what alarmed me was the the word 'WR' in the invoice which i think is for the diesel models.

anyway my bad for bumping this up, tbh never been on any car forums etc.

Had a quick look, the WR bit suggests Diesel, but the KPE stands for K Pure Energy used in the T-jet engine. Its only the reciept, I don't think they would be stupid enough to put the wrong oil in.

punto_jack - i think you are right mate, i think its just a typo in the receipt given to me as they even did change the spark plugs, so they cant be that daft to use diesel oil.

btw downloaded the handbook off the site and it says on pg 195.........

* lubricants on petrol engine
SAE 5W40 - Salenia KP.E

* lubricants on diesel engine
SAE 5W30 - Salenia WR P.E

i read a sticky note on this forum by a moderator and i think its not correct as i differs to what it says here....need to be amended by whoever wrote it.

also am i right in assuming that diesel oil will change colour (dark) in 2-3 days ???????

mine is still clear and i must have done 225 miles in it since change.

so they must have use the right oil i guess

Not to sure about the change in colour but I yeah I just think your invoice is wrong tbh, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Diesel engine oil goes dark because of the diesel combustion process.

Search for his posts on here - he used to recommend oils not recommended for the cars - he got 'banned' because of all the hassle he caused.
