I was looking at buying a Multiwagon Dynamic JTD. I Thought I would check the best place for owner information ie the Forum. From reading items posted General, Technical Interior etc why on Gods earth should I. You lot are being taken for a ride. Differing specs, differing cars to what you ordered, less than adequate customer serive to be polite and a range of cars that seem to break down around the 4 month mark.

I would just like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for saving me from fate worse than death, buying a FIAT. "Fabrique" where and from What ?. Obviously this is now my own opinion and wish you all thousands and thousands of miles happy motoring from the back of a AA truck

There is a link I will post with a media file showing the crash test of the STILO (if I can find it)

just to knock you off a bit, i have driven a 5-door dynamic JTD, and it was one of nicest desiels i have ever driven, with lovely pickup and very little engine noise and the car is still going strong after 2 years (other than two minor faults)

SEI POWER

NOS Guzzlers are just lower beings :D

And from my part, I just would like to point out that all of us in this forum and in forus in general, like to moan in general about everythingno matter how important that may be! The Stilo is a very sophisticated piece of automotive technology with loads of gadgets and electronics!

I honestly think that you were not convinced about byuing a Stilo in the first place otherwise you wouldn't be put off by the sayings of a bunch of enthusiasts such us ourselves ([^])that we just share among us all the little problems that we face. At the end of the day these are the kind of problems that all car owners face with new cars.
;)

Fiat Stilo 80 Active, no alloys, no power tuning, love the sky window though!

Disagree.

Last two cars I have purchased have been exactly as described in the brochures. No quibbles and the traction control worked.

I understand moaning when they pack in and the quirks that follow. This is the love of cars, but when you order a new car which takes 10 weeks to be delivered and then its completely different to what you wanted, that aint cricket. With FIAT in such finacial disarray, you would have thought they would have been trying extra hard to keep thir customers happy

The sales of good act has changed. it used to be up to you as the purchaser to prove that the car was not fit for purpose when you bought it. This has now been changed to the seller has to prove it was fit for purpose. You do have rights as a consumer when things like this happen.

I agree with Dickens as well.

The car it great Fiat have done well on that. What lets them down is the after sales when something goes wrong.

When the car go's into the dealer and they find a problem and you have to wait 2 -4 weeks for a part, or they are not sure how the car works because they have not seen one!!

Found all these problems with diferent dealers and when you complain to Fiat they do **** all!

So NOPE would not buy another which is such a shame.

And I hate moaning about the car as I love it just hate FIAT..LOL

Yellow 3 door Abarth!

I have to say I haven't experienced any major probs with my Abarth after 16 months and 24000 miles. At the time I bought the car the dealer gave me a list of cars in stock with Fiat including part nos. for the factory fitted options. They basically said pick the car you want and we''ll bring it in, if you like it buy it and if you don't we''ll either put it in the showroom or use it as a demonstrator. Where else would you get service like that? A couple of weeks later I drove out of the dealer in my shiny new Stilo (which I was told was the first 3d Abarth in Northern Ireland). The after service has been excellent and I would highly recommend Roadside Garages in Coleraine to anyone in N.I. As for the original question 'Would I buy another?' I would have to say 'No'. Why? Because I'm saving hard for an Alfa 147 GTA.:D

Hiya guys, interesting comments. Have you all seen my post entitled "Most Important Fiat Post Ever" in the Fiat related chat section? I'm writing to the Fiat UK directors to give them some feedback and you should make these comments in that string so I can send them on to people who might be able to do something about it!

Fiat Stilo Abarth 3dr. Loden Green, Beige Leather, Sky Window, Cold Climate Pack, 17" Alloys, CD Changer, 260w 8 Speaker Stereo. Anticipated Delivery Mid June (oooh it's July now and guess what?.....Still waiting!

I think when you're looking for a new car you should try and compare them to women. I'd put the Stilo in the Jennifer Lopez catergory... Very nice to look at, has all the bits in the right place and has plenty of stuff you can get excited about and that your dying to play with. Can be temperamental on occasions and will drive you up the wall every now and again but generally you're pretty satisfied. I'd put most other cars in this class (Focus, Golf, 307) in the Librarian class. Very sturdy, functional and reliable and never really causes you any problems, but theres not much to get excited about and at the end of the day they are dull as s**t... Take your pick Dickens, Lopez or Librarian????????

Hey! You're not allowed to slag off the Stilo unless you have one! ;)

Even after all my complaints, I still like the car, lots. Would I buy another one? Mmmm. Difficult. Not from the same dealer, for sure. But the lessons I have learned from buying this car will stand me in good stead the next time I buy a new car, whatever make it is.
