Had a Saxo for one day as a courtesy car, never went to that garage again!
Had a drive in a Bentley, Wow! great feeling a power, glides along and everything you would expect.

worst: this old maestro my dad had

Gawd, how could I forget the Maestro 1.6 HLS I used to have! Only had it on the road for four months and it spent half that time being repaired. It had just 49K on the clock as well. Car was roomy and comfy, but the engine was an abortion and it was built by disgruntled workers. In other words it was a good idea but let down by bad execution. The MG Maestro 2.0 and turbo were quite some go'ers though!

Worst - Renault 11 - ask your parents !!

:ROFLMAO: virmin had one ... it was red...and when we had it...it was kinda pink and orange lol terrible thing

Mine is...

Worst - Daewoo Matiz  Horrible flipping curtesy car...when you are stuck behind one...don't shout at them to hurry up..they really can't lol

Best - Gotta Be My Punto Sporting :D

Worst car: Toss up between my old 307 Diesel estate company car or the Mk2 clio I learned to drive in (pedals were too close together :( )

Rubbish, I hired one at Luton airport the last time I was in the UK and it's a very nippy car with good handling.
Racing back to catch the flight, it clocked 105 on the M1 and although I wouldn't consider buying one, I enjoyed driving it.

I caught the flight too!(y)

Are you joking?? lol

The flipping thing was awful...maybe you had the 995cc ... I know I had the 796cc..and trust me, it was pants.

And to top off all the poor build quality, I was driving down the road, when all the dials flopped to 0 (n)
Got to the end of the road and they started working again...it was like driving a bean can :yuck:

Are you taking the ****?. I had one as a coutesey car for 2 days and it was a piece of s**t!. Any sort of bend at any speed and the tyres used to cry for dear life with tyre squeel at the same time you have to reach for something to hold into to stop yourself flying out the window cause of the body roll.....

Then there was the fact it used more petrol than my Alfa would have used in the same journey. 100 mile round trip cost £16.50ish in petrol. I wouldn't have dared take it over 100mph, Im supprised it didn't tram line into a lorry. The matiz is that bad even fiat rejected the design lol!. The only car i've drove thats worse than the matiz is the Hyundai Amika.

Worst - M reg 'orion shape' escort. Never known a car to have so many problems but i should have known when the bloke i bought it from looked like Derek Trotter (honest to god, even down to the coat and necklace):D

Best - Honda Civic, that baby just kept going and going and going...till i wrote it off trying to outwit a skip wagon

Worst was a Dodge something or other rental in the USA in the 80s. It was a rear drive compact and did not even have the redeeming flashy vulgarity that is amusing on big Yank Tanks. I had it for one day and went back and swapped it for a Camaro.
In many ways the best car ever was the Tempra TD after I put some good KYBs on it.

No I'm not joking, maybe I did have the 995cc, but it's not the sort of question I ask when renting a car, nor do I bother to consider quality as long as it gets from A to B and back.

Some of us use seat belts to stop flying anywhere?

I didn't worry about tram-lining, there were none on the M1 that day, or lorries for that matter.;)

It was a rental FFS, not a test drive with a view to buy.

Oh and BTW, the VW Beetle factory was turned down by all British motor car manufacturers when it was up for grabs in 1946, they said the car would never sell.

WORST: 1.2 kia picanto :yuck:

BEST: BMW 730I SPORT :slayer: (flappy paddle mate :D)

Daewoo Matiz's are great fun:D , my friend at sixth form had one and i used to take great delight in showing just how slow it was by overtaking it while yawning:p , or just letting him catch up in 30 zones to leave him standing when the road opened up to a national limit, once i actually thought he'd stopped!! lol! luckily i never got a lift in it though. much too high for it's size for my liking.
