Hi all,

After calling a Fiat dealer I've found out that workshop manuals are only on line and you have to pay Fiat a subscription to access them. However I have seen guides on line but every time I try to download them (before I pay) they try to install software on my PC. Seems a bit dodgy, and I was wondering if anyone has come across a half decent workshop manual.

Many Thanks

Wes

I have bought the Pug version of their workshop manuals on 3 CDs. It installs a program then runs the manuals on Internet Explorer but internally, meaning not online, it just runs on IE.
You get an icon on the taskbar to click when you want to run it, all current Pug models are on there and the only one I want to see is the Bipper. Once you get into that manual (all tricky as it's not like reading a book) you can access a lot of things, RHD and LHD variants plus engine types but there are a good few things you might want to look at which when you expand the particular area for search, say No Manuals Found (in red) which rather suggests definitely not here.
It was only about £7.95 but it's the proper Peugeot Manual as supplied to the dealership and I can't do you a copy since you have to send a code from your PC to the vendor once installed, to make it operate on your particular computer with a code he sends back to you. When you request it (via ebay messages) it comes back within a few minutes so there's no waiting. The program takes about 30 minutes or more to load from the discs. You can run it from the discs but it's a lot faster to do if you load them into the PC to run from the GUI as you look around the models and pages etc. I haven't found much of great useful significance as yet as each small area is quite limited but then I haven't spent a huge amount of time with it open. The limitation is of course, it's for a Bipper and not a Fiorino.

First off hello all, newbie on here but long time lurker. I have a Bipper myself and have the software you're talking about, it's freely available online, just check out some torrents. peugeot/citroen Servicebox. It should come with the 'key generator' If you need I've have it here and can calculate the required keycodes for your copy.

Hi 2668GRIFFIN,

How you got on with the downloaded manual ??

My previous was a Kia, nearly as bad as Fiat for info, so I Ebayed a set of CDs roms with it all on..............never worked, was a pain, eventually got a refund through Ebay.......

So if this system your trying works, hey! thats good news........

Cheers Qube O.

Only 1 year and 4 days.................wow, could have been worse, could have been 1year & 5 days.

Oh for the simple things in life, like a proper service manual.................lol

Ta for that, gave me a laugh..........

Cheers Qube O.

Thats the problem......living in a third world country like ours.

Better services most other places in the world.

Looking forward to how you find these DVDs, maybe 'bipper' is about to start a whole new cottage industry, supplying us all with these sets................

Cheers Qube O.

Well it's a needs must situation, and you have to do what you've got to do to look after your pride and joy, and as haynes have no intention in producing a workshop manual on what is a very popular mpv/van in what ever the badge says we have to resort to other methods.
When i've talked to fiat tech's in the past, they have no clue on how things come apart [regarding interior panels and dash parts].......so why pay there laboure fees? might as well have a go yourself.......and its free!
Rant over
