Won't start

Hi all.

my mk2 1.2 punto won't start, its turning over but won't fire up, the battery light flashes when I try, have a feeling it might be the ECU. Any ideas. Got enough fuel in !

More likely immobilizer, do you have the master key?

what is the battery voltage before trying to start and what is it when trying to start?

Hi sorry for the delay, had internet probs, had a mate check all fuses with voltmeter, all ok but when we checked the fuel pump there was no earth to one of the connections....anyway we put power to it and it started, we've temp fixed it by earthing the wire on fuel pump up to the car, so for now it's running ?
