Wiring of speakers??

I am replacing the standard speakers on my 96 punto with some jbl gto's. Does anyone know which wires are positive and which are negative...Some have stripes some are solid colours.
Anyone have any ideas????

Speaker wire doesnt care which wire you use for positive and which for negative. The only important bit is that your consistant with the way that your wiring your speakers.

The normal way of wiring though is to use the black striped wire as negative and the solid as positive. Make sure that you do the same on both speakers.

If you dont wire up both speakers the same, the speakers wont be damaged though, all that will happen is the phase of the speaker cone will be inverted. If you do the two speakers opposite ways around the soundspace goes all weird and un-focussed.
