Basically, I've had my current system for almost a year, and looks a tad like this

but i want to add rears.

3 things really

the rears im going for are either Vibe SA-60 or Pioneer TS-E176C.

1. Since the Amp Is 4 channel, and the sub is bridged, leaving me only the front output to play with, would it be an idea to buy an external x-over and use the front input as the input for that?

2. or should i do the same but intercept the signal for sub (since as i gather that bass isn't as sensative to "change"

3. or finally have the rears directly powered from the HU?

or scrap that idea and sell the 4 channel, and go for the 6?

Ultimately, Im just trying to fill the lack of mid-range that i have.

not very clear i know, but.. i guess some people could help

(I'm part of the anti 6x9 alliance (y) so please no "you could just get 6x9's)

Or option 4.

Loose the Pioneers you have in the front at the moment and buy a set of 3 way components with a 6.5" midbass, 4" midrange and a tweeter.

Mount the 4" midrange and tweeter in your dash, the get the jigsaw out and make an MDF rear quarter panel and mount the 6.5" midbass in there (a few folk have made new 1/4 panels, have a look in the Cinq/Sei section).

The midbass shouldn't be too directional so your sound stage won't suffer too much.

Plus they all still receive signal from the amp, jobs a good 'un.
