I have got a punto 2002 mk2, how the hell do i wire up the amped component speakers and put them in the front doors there is no way of getting any wires from the car into the door becasue of some stupid plug thing thats in the way any ideas? im seriously confused!
PLEASE HELP!

:D Trying the same as me today.

Come to 2 conclusions
1 - drill hole in door ( I do'nt really want to do that)
2 - trace the speaker cables to the other side of door pillar ,cut and join. ( appears to be my prefered option)

Let me know if you come up with anything else

Steve

If i join the wire from the amp to the original speaker wire from the car will that not burn out the original crappy stuff?
And also i have got the rca leads going from my headunit to the amp but how exactly do i get it so all 4 channels work ? its only working on 2 of the channels becasue only one set of rca leads

I am only driving 75 watts to the front door speakers, most head units can drive 50 to 60 watts so I do not think there should be to much problem with the wiring.:tempt:

What amp are you trying to use?

75W RMS is alot more than any headunit gives out! Headunits give about 50W max to speakers which is around 20-25W RMS ;)

post edited:eek: Read 60W on head unit dont know why I put RMS.

Sorry

Steve

Im going to be using a crunch 480 amp which will be running about 75w rms to each channel so thats why i was worried about using the original wiring, this is causing a lot of problems! Also on the amp there are 3 [places for the rca leads to go into there is obviously the output holes which i wont use and then there are channel 1 & 2 input and then channel 3 & 4 input how do i connect it so i can use all four channels?

With the pre-outs on the back of the headunit, i have got one for sub one for front and one for rear does this mean that when using a 4 channel amp to power front and rear speakers i will have to have 2 sets of rca leads running into the 4 channel amp?
Stupid question maybe but i cant figure this out my manual only comes in german!
HELP!
