General Wipers stuck?!

Hi guys! So yesterday I went out to the van didn’t realise the wipers had frozen to the screen, I turned the wipers on to clear the screen but of course frozen stuck!!
I freed the wipers got back in the van turned wipers on nothing happened! Thought I had blown the fuse but it’s not blown (F43) and now I’m scratching my head!!
Any ideas?!

The wipers are auto parking, so even when you realized what happened and switched the wipers off, they were still powered because they wanted to make one complete sweep.
If the fuse didn't blow, something else did! Probably the wiper motor itself is dead, maybe the contacts on top of the motor are toast.
Mechanical damage is another possibility.

Do you hear anything when your press the switch?
If you can hear the motor at allis check to see if the arm's have come loose from the spindle's in the motor

Hi. The wiper motor assembly has an internal protective device triggered by overcurrent and/or overtemperature which opens a pair of electrical contacts. This is a thermal device, so it should reset itself several seconds after the overload has been removed or things have cooled down. It's not unknown for the contacts to become high resistance and unable to pass enough current, resulting in a motor which will run but not start. Try tapping the motor casing with a screwdriver handle when switched on, to see if you can persuade it to start.

Thanks for your replies, have been tapping away at the motor housing without any success, it’s been a couple of days now since this happened so It should have reset by now, do you think it would be easier to dismantle it?

Motor is out and looks good inside no sign of anything burnt out, any ideas where the relay is for this unit?

This is the connector going into the wiper housing. The only port that has power is the one shown by the arrow. All other options on the wiper settings do not cause any power to show on them. Is this a relay issue?
