Wiper system!

Had fun this morning, my g/f's wipers packed in, on the rainiest morning of the year!

I had to drive 10 miles practically blind. Not such a good idea.

Going to nip up to the local scrap yard at dinner time, they had a Marea and a Bravo last time I went up, if the Bravo has gone will the Marea wiper system fit?

Its going on a N reg 1.4sx bravo.

Passenger one stopped and the drivers kept going, then the drivers one stuck pointing up.

The passenger one can be moved by hand but the drivers one wont budge. There was a bit of a burning smell aswell.

I am going to try and get as much of the mechanism as I can. Is it easy to get at/off? Chances of me doing it on a dinner hour?

You have to take off the plastic under the windscreen, then take out the motor, then unscrew the nuts holding the "outs" to the arms and then dismantle the levers that go to the motor. Its a fiddly job to do, lets say cca. 2hours of work.

Also take the viper arms, as you describe the teeth in the arm are gone also.

2 hours in all to replace, or 2 hours to get it off at the scrappy?

No need to worry anymore!

Me dads just been to the scrappy and got it off in 20mins. £20. Job done.

Hopefully he got everything need off, will find out tonight when we swap them over.
