right problem i have is that my wiper stalk on my 2001 sei only has 2 speeds int and bloody fast, i used to own a 03 sei that had int, normal and fast, can anyone tell me if it a case of a straight swap over or does the relay need changing?

I think the stalk is the same. (Check how many positions.)
Could it be that the speed controller on the motor itself has gone so that one speed is missing?

If the connectors are the same swap the switches, if they are different dont.
As fingers suggests FIAT put the logic in the motor mechanism if you want different speeds swap the motor, again the connectors need to be the same.
If your current switch has a setting that does not do anything likely the motor is damaged. You can dismantle damage might be repairable.
You are letting us guess what you are doing? It might help to down load the manual.

Aye, 2 speeds here.
cause i'm right in thinking all cinqs are only 2 speed aren't I?? Been a while since i drove a cinq regularly now.
Maybe some one has replaced the 3 speed stalk with a 2? I thought all 2001> had 3 speed?
I suspect the "rugby ball" Cinqs may have had morre speeds. To be honest, I can't remember!

I need this in my life - can't tell you how much it drives me mad to have the crappy intermittent and mega fast only. Neither are right for the rain I get. It's the worst thing about my car....

from whats been said already yes, just need the newer stalk fitted.

off, wiper, and wiper. Decoding the nomenclature on the motor wiring is difficult but one looks like a intermittent, and the switch might have a single shot, i.e. spring loaded to off...
Cant down load the manual on this connection, donno why.
My Sei sporting (early 98) has fast, intermittent and single shot. So I could have a cing wiper motor.
