I’ve drained down all of my caravans over the years however, all I can find on my Van is the ‘pull handle’ underneath, that I believe empties Grey and Fresh water.

Should I be draining anywhere else? Thanks

Nothing else should need doing
Empty waste water but then again you should do that after each time you have used it anyway

Then empty fresh water and run pump for a few seconds and to remove water from the lines

Turn pump off and leave taps open

Depending on age, a Truma Combi heater will have either an automatic dump at 4C, or a manual drain valve, which is operated by a small yellow tab or lever which you pull upwards to a vertical position. Thes drain valves will be installed close to the Combi unit.

Thanks. I’m used to the yellow lever route however, couldn’t find anything on my kit, so assume auto drain.

TBH, I doubt a single pull lever will drain both waste and fresh water, more likely just waste.

Neill above has outlined the use of a yellow drain down lever on Whale heaters (on the unit itself, not in pipework). It seems a common feature on the various Whale units - I can find at least some indication that your 'van might have Whale heating. I don't think these have auto drain down in frost (as standard).

If you can't find a fresh water drain, you might want to look for something on top of the tank, and if there is an inspection hatch on top, just check if it has an internal "bung" (often on a handle). I've had vans with this, and I believe Rimor may have used this, at least in the past.

Thanks for that. Dealer advised single pull for fresh and grey. I’ll have a good look tomorrow.
