I'm assuming the single wipe (up on the stalk) should only wipe once?
I'm getting a very fast double wipe, very occasionally get a single slow wipe.
All the other wiper functions are fine.
Anyone know if there's a fault with the wiper mech, or a relay, or something else...?

If you move the switch quickly you will get a single slow wipe.
If you move it slowly you will get a quick wipe followed by a slow wipe.
I don't pretend to understand the reasoning behind it, but that's what it does.
Yep, you're right(y).
Is it supposed to be like that?

Try touching the stalk gently. First you can get a slow wipe, if you just move the stalk very very slightly but otherwise it wipes at fast speed. My Panda 100 always did a double wipe unless I just touched the stakl. Its an Italian thing. What you are getting is normal, its a sensitive switch.

My 2004 model is a bit anoying in that respect as the itermitant wipe doesn't have a reasonable time between wipes when its only slight rain. I've tried different things eg stopping the wipe half way through it's cycle then waiting 30 secs or so then restarting the wipe process to no avail.
