Hi everyone.
Any thoughts? Wipers just won't work when it's wet, but as soon as it stops raining, or at least within an hour or so they do work. Rear wiper and wash is fine, as is front wash when wet or dry.
Corroded wires to motor? When wet the wipers don't even attempt to wipe, just hear the usual clicking noise.
Thanks, Tim

Hello,

The eLearn diagnostic doc on the wipers not working:

And attached the front wipers / washer wiring diagram. And the rear one, too. Just for future reference.

Thanks, Tim

You say there's the usual clunking noise

If you put the wipers on and look in the scuttle area

Is the the motor spinning

At the top of the scuttle area

There's a wire bolted to it at the top

It will either be a small black box or an eye on the cable, unbolt the nut and clean up the ends and where it sits with a wire brush

I think you're referring to the C011 earth point. I'd also check the C020.

@Tim Stevens Are the footwells dry when it's raining? The insulation mats under the carpet?
