I'm confused, my windscreen wiper is playing games with me :(

It pull the stork down to intermittent and nothing happens, pull it down again and works(fast) . It goes back to intermittent and it works. To stop the wiper arm in correct place, I have to time it right otherwise it can come to rest anywhere on the windscreen.

What is causing it? and what would you check first?

Thanks

It's possible that one of the earthing points on the 'hedgehog' is loose. Lift the bonnet and look down on the right for a little electrical cluster thing with lots of wires attached to it with spade connectors. Take them off one by one and clean them. A little copper grease applied should stop it from happening again. Failing that it could either be the motor or the switch, check the electrics first though as it's cheapest and easiest.

I will play with car today. See what bits I can take out and put back together..Thanks :)

Welder came yesterday, so I can see if I can repair the hole I made with the dremel :D

Fallen at the first hurdle. How do I get access to the wiper motor

Did what you told me to do steve. No copper grease but had vaseline handy

Do'h.

remove the rubber that goes accross the top of the bonnet, remove the rain water pipe from the window vent and carefully remove the trim panel down & to the left towards the centre of the car. You will now see the wiper motor. Remove the wiper arm then the plastic nut from the spindle. Remove the 3x 10mm bolts from the motor plate unplug the wiring push the spindle through then remove.

Dead easy.

Here is the rear wiper repair.....https://www.fiatforum.com/panda-cla...motor-repair.html?highlight=rear+wiper+repair hopfully the front will be simmilar?

Steve any chance of sticking that in the guide section?
