General windscreen wiper not working

my drivers side windscreen wiper isnt working but my passenger side is why is this and whats wrong????

Both front wipers are driven by the same electric motor, via 'con-rods'. It is possible the rod to the driver's side wiper shaft has come adrift. If you remove both wipers and the plastic scuttle just below the windscreen you should be able to check the wiper motor/mechanism.

Or the splines on the wiper arm have worn away, or simply need the nut tightening.

If you end up needing the whole lot replacing get in touch, I've loads of them stashed in the garage.
