i got quoted on my xreg punto 5door
£100 for just the back section (back window and rear doors)
£160 for full car (back window, rear doors and front doors)

just wondering how much you payed or about to pay for window tints on the same car? im pritty sure this is reasonable price but if anybody knows a place in and around the rochdale are (oldham, bury, manchester etc) then please let me know.
thanks guys

i would do but i wouldnt trust myself doing it like that.best getting a proper job done.i have no experiance in doing anything like tints. i no its the cheeper method but i dont want it to look daft and spoil my working progress on my car. but yer thanks for heads up mate

get it done by the pro's, film can rip easily and bubbles looks sh!te if not done pro, IMO

sure most will agree

prices seem about right

why spend 30 quid on film then bits to heat the film tools and unnessary bother!

100 quid is a good deal! :)

im going to leave it to the pros and pay the 100. iv never done tints on my own and im not even going to try as i no il mess up and waste the £30. i get wound up easy with stuff like that. the pros do a real good job that lasts and doesnt look messy. its worth the extra £70 as they do the full job (parts and time) because if i spent £30 on film.mess it up and waste it then its another £30 for more film.wich then id only save £40.and also i may mess that sheet up.lol

Because with a steady hand and a bit of time, it wouldnt look to bad, granted not as good as a proffesional job, but some of us are students :p

Seen hundreds of DIY jobs over the years, all of them can be spotted a mine off.

i totaly agree wich is why im going to splash the cash on pro jobs.
iv seen the quatity the garage does where i got my quote.they had a feerari outside done, and inside there was a subaru 1996 impreza coupe. wich they had just finished tinting and vinyling. look very nice and tints where very well done.
i will be very happy paying full price for them. D.I.Y job i dont trust myself lol.

anyone going to get front side windows done as well ?

its illegal to have them done . i hear its a 60 quid fine every time they stop u

iv got my front to done and not been stop for it yet. its one of them things where as long as its not blacked out they dont really give a ****. if you get pulled and then start acting like a dick head mouthing off of to them then they will more then likely do you for them where as if you get pull and dont act like a noob 100% they will not say a thing

well im not too sure on that but i am certain you have to let 70% of light through the front ones as i found a vid on youtube explaining tints and the law

:yeahthat: Guy at auto tint where i got mine done (100 quid for back and 2 rear btw) explained this clearly.

What's the maximum percentage of tint you can have for your windows in the UK?.

I know your not allowed to tint the front window (or at least not much), but what about the front two side windows?.

Any info is apreicated, thanks.

What is allowed and what is installed is quite different things. Very often people ask OutLaw TintZ.......
But allowed % is:
Windshield - 25%
Drivers left and right - 30%.
