Hello Fiat forum!
I've been reading some specs on the 500, both pre-facelift nad post-facelift.
I've noticed that the facelift model's 1,3L MultiJet has 95HP, whilst the pre-facelift 1,3 is 75HP.
I own a 2008 Fiat 500 1,3 MultiJet 75 (Lounge) and i was wondering if the 95 and 75 horsepower engines are the same? if so, would it be possible to swap in a ECU from a 95hp model?

No,I believe the 95 hp engine has a variable geometry turbo charger that is controlled by the ecu. The 75 hp won’t have this and won’t be wired for it in anyway.

The 95hp engine may also have some other minor differences in the sensors used or the emission control systems which may not be present on an older 75hp engine.

Far easier to take it to a professional and have the normal 75hp ecu remapped so more power, should easily get near 95hp with a remap

I see, thanks for your reply.
A friend of my dad, who is a Fiat Mechanic told me that the Fiat Doblo Mjtd 85hp 1.3 ECU should work, but agreed with you on the remap suggestion, as it would be less hassle and also would yield a higher power gain.

Remap it is then. Thank you for your reply,
Cheers!
