Technical Why does my GP keep cutting out?!?

I was experiencing the same issue. Eventually engine management light came on. Borrowed a diag tool. Error code showed map sensor. Changed that. £35 local motorparts shop. No improvement. Cleaned throttle body. When it was running ran better but still cutting out. Thought i had checked all hoses then found the attached hose had a split. Seems to be exactly the same split mode as the other user had. See pics. 08 grande punto 1.4 petrol starjet. Throttle body clean was worth it however. The map sensor i replaced seemed to be more 'blocky'. When slowing down i didnt have the very fine throttle control. Even after leaving for a while and wiping codes. Ended up putting the original back in and worked great. Food for thought anyway
