Im searching for a new company as AOL are really clueless

1. How much do you pay
2. What company is it?
3. MOST IMPORTANTLY IS IT UNLIMITED USEAGE?

2MB - £30 every month is a total rip off.

1. £14.99 p/m
2. Plus.net
3. no, only during off peak times, from 4pm til midnight i have a download limit

im sure they do an unlimited one for a bit more cash tho :chin:

You will be lucky to find UNLIMITED USAGE now - a hand of companies, maybe, but fair usage policy tends to be the norm.

I am with Plus.net on their premium package - £20,99 pcm.

This month, I have currently hit 80Gb, and only half way thro it

Thats the point i wonder if AOL have the fair useage policy i think they don't but I know Telewest are unlimited but have that fair useage policy i'm a heavy downloader, downloading upto 1GB-2GB a day so i think i go past the fair useage policy

My current usage snapshot

24/7 downloading on telewest 10 meg and never had any issues

1) NTL
2) £24.99
3) 4mbit d/load 400kbit u/load. Unlimited usage but it's monitored, i.e. take the **** and they'll warn you, continue and I guess you'll be disconnected.

Not had any major issues unlike some areas. I'd advise checking http://www.nthellworld.co.uk/ first and see whether your area suffers big problems...

1) Demon internet
2) 24.99£
3) 2mbit/down 256kbit up... unlimited I have no idea how much I download a month but the router is giving negative numbers so it's an awful lot & they don't bitch at all

oh yeah my internet is more reliable and faster than people on NTL that's supposed to be faster...

Talktalk,
2.2mbps althought I was expecting 8mbps as I can throw a stone at the exchange from here:rolleyes:

having to pay £10 per month as the local exchange has not been unbundled while folk down south ( from Aberdeen south? )get it free with the landline package as long as the exchange has been unbundled.

Telewest Blueyonder
£25 Monthly
Un-fookin-limited Biatch! @ > 4MB (They upgrade speed for free every so often, I might be on 6,8 or even 10MB)

In their Terms and Conditions there is a statement about fair usage but I've never heard of it being enforced.

PlusNet.
Pretty cheap, and generally very good. Admittedly they have had some problems recently, but unlike most other companies they're quite open and honest about their problems and what they're doing to resolve them.
