Cause who ever it was? was spot on they realy are bad even when nipping out of a juction in a hurry they just spin up very easily.

But ok in the dry,but i wish i payed an extra £20 odd and gotten the toyo and proberbly 215/4016 instead of 205.

I wouldent recommend them to anyone, thats just my expeirence, how ever if there are any fans of them on here keep watching there could well be 4 for sale with less that 600 miles on them.

I was one of those who mentioned Nankang aren't brilliant in the wet. OK i think Nankang are ok as a budget tyre, good in the dry not so good in the wet.

BUT

You do realise you need to wear any new tyre in mate, sounds like you haven't. Also are they the correct tyre pressure? Hence them slipping like crazy in the wet as well as you mentioning they only have done little miles. It also seems you've got the incorrect tyre ratio on them aswell. However i must check, but im quite sure they are the wrong size.

***Just checked and the tyre size for 16's should be ideally 205/45/16.***

But am gona check,i know about waring tyres in done it a few times with new tyres, but these even considering that are realy bad in the wet.

I used to have budget cheapo's on my 1.2 (can't remember the brand) and i could spin them up in 2nd gear off the throttle in the wet.

3rd gear if i dipped the clutch a little :)

It were an exciting drive to work round all those islands i can tell you :)

did make my car feel POWERFUL though lol

regarding nankang, i think everyone who ever had them described them as being **** poor in the wet.
rubber is one of those things that shouldn't be skimped on. and that applies to many areas of life ;)

I know this was a thread a little while back, but i cant find it.

And cant remember everything that was sugested,
so once again,,What would you buy with a budget of £200///£250 at most??? 16/40 or 45/215

kumho ecsta spt, same price as the nankangs but much more grip in wet and dry. as you'd expect that means they are a softer compound rubber and so wear quicker, but you cant have it both ways i'm afraid.

plus they look pretty

i have nankang ns2 on the back, kumho ecsta spt on the front, and it grips a lot better than it did with pirelli p6000s front and rear.
