Technical Whistling Noise - Help!

There is a high pitched whistling noise coming from the rear of the car (passengers side)
Its constant and quite loud, starts whistling when I start the engine and stops immediately when I stop the engine.
Any help would be awesome as I have no Idea what im doing/looking for

If it's from the rear and comes only when the engine is running, my guess is it's the fuel pump. Try lifting the rear seat base -- fuel pump is under the diamong shaped plate in the middle -- does it get any louder?

Checked and it does seem louder when I put my eat to it! Would it be best to take it somewhere to get it changed or could I do this myself? (going by info from the web/manuals)

It's certainly DIYable. Haynes covers the Cinq pump well. Often noisy pumps will carry on for a long time, so worthwhile seeing if you can get one at a scrappy (or PM jiminwatford).
