Technical whistling noise from a/c

Hi all,

I'm new here and have done my best to find others with the same problem, so bear with me.

The air-conditioner unit on my 500 1.4 Sport emits a whistling/whining noise at low fan speeds. Obviously, this is a very grating problem.

I brought this up during my 15000km servicing back in October, and all the dealer here in Melbourne did was top up the gas. Needless to say, the problem has not been solved.

I love the car, but driving with the constant whine is very annoying. Especially when on a date! Just wondering how many others out there have experienced the same problem, and more importantly, has anyone solved it?

Most probably the bearing in the fan. May only do it at low speed as its the right frequency for it to whistle. Give it a spray of Electrolube and see if it sorts it.
