The 100HP is in need of some new tyres and I'm struggling to decide which ones to go for. I'm in need of three new tyres in total as the front are nearing the legal limit and one of the rears have developed a lump in the sidewall.
I currently have 1 brand new GoodYear Eagle F1 GSD3 (195/45-R15) on my full size spare which is making the decision a little harder.
So far I have narrowed my options down to the following.
GoodYear Eagle F1 GSD3 (195/45-R15)
OEM fit to the car and have always used them on the 100HP and been happy with them. After contacting GoodYear they have confirmed they are still in production dispite the rumours. In reviews they perform well but are getting a bit old design wise and with the GSD3's I would only need to purchase 2 tyres and could use the spare I already have. Cost is around £58.00 so total would be £116.00.
Vredestein Sportrac 3 (195/45-R15)
Looking at the reviews these tyres seem to perform very well in all conditions. Cost is slightly more than the GSD3's at around £61.00 per tyre so total would be £122.00 as I would put the 2 new tyres on the rear and use the one remaining GSD3 along with the spare I have on the front.
Vredestein Sportrac 3 (195/50-R15)
Same tyre as above but with 50 profile and again good reviews all round. With the profile being 50 rather than 45 the price is alot lower at £45 per tyre and the ride would improve slightly. Only issue is I would not want different profiles front and rear so 4 would need to be purchased at £180.00.
So these ar the option I have so far but if anyone could recommend alternatives that would be great.
Also if someone could post a picture with a 100HP on 50 profile tyre just so I can see if it looks any different.
Many Thanks!
