I need to put new tyres on my car but with so much choice i don't know which really result in this weather?

I have a set of General Altimax RT 155/70R13 75T on my punto.
Struggle to get any wheel spin with them on, very good grip
Noise levels are lower than a standard tyre and i've not yet found any quieter brands in this size.

I got them from Etyres fully fitted for £35 each (Mobile fitters)

They have covered about 7,000 miles now and have more than 3/4 thread left, so they last ok although other brands can last longer

What I'm asking is if should I change for 185 or 195? And you don't have tr1 in 165 for example and that's is the oem size?

on 15 inch wheels we put 195/50/15 toyos on. slightly wider than oem but a cheaper size

i want to keep the oem rims but the 165 looks a bit tight

ok so they 14". I assume they are 5.5j??

If so then try 185/55r14. There is literally hundreds of tyres available in that size and generally quite cheap.

Falken 452's get good comments and also heard good things about the Vredestein's.
I went from Michelins to Lassa Phenoma purely based on price, (They were pretty much half price) and I am really happy with them, good grip in both wet and dry.
