Depends what you want!
0.9 more peppy and fun to drive but maintenance needs to be top notch!
1.3 diesel nice to drive different gearing so more relaxed on long journeys great economy but quite rare so parts etc more difficult to source for the home mechanic.
1.2 best engine overall steady if not sparkling performance but when looked after well very reliable( read my guide on what to watch out for!) thousands about so used spares plentifull many happy owners around 40/45 mpg under normal conditions!.
1.4 the best all-rounder and benefits greatly from having Bosch engine management, not the rather flaky Marelli system on the 1.2. Unfortunately however they tend to be attached to cars that are at least 15 years old now..... So it has to be an Abarth really - same thing but with a turbo!
I suspect the 0.9s will be a lot of trouble in future years - indeed to some extent they are already with uniair and overstretched turbo issues and oil leaks. Too clever for their own good
I'll let you know.... 2013, and still going strong.
But there again I'm a firm believer in 'preventative' maintenance. Except of course for the things I don't see/hear coming.

Unlike reactive maintenance!- where you shout F**k It, kick the cat. slam out of the house, and go to the pub to spend the money you needed for the repairs! come home to no dinner wife not talking to you( not sure if this ones a problem or not?) and the cats in ya slippers
