Technical where does the starter motor wire come into the engine bay?

after an attempted theft of my car, i'm working on repairing the damage. One of the wires ripped out was the one for the starter solenoid, i can see it has some sort of connector on the end - but i'm not 100% sure where it used to go. I think it went onto a block beneath the battery tray - can anyone confirm?

I think you are correct, the plug under the battery tray.
