Technical Wheel bolt question

Hi everyone,

I'm starting the restoration of my 500 R and already bumped into a problem where I need a bit of help.
My car is a 1973 500R model, therefore some parts are same as the 126.

I have some snapped wheel bolts and planning to replace the whole set anyway but according to this online catalog I might have the wrong wheel bolts?

Can someone tell me if the 500R type would be the correct with the cone, or should I just stick to the other one?

Looking at your wheel rim it looks like they are suitable for the bolts with the cone. The other bolts are suitable for rims that are totally flat around the hole like the original 500 rims.

Thank you for pointing it out! I didn't notice the difference. My spare wheel is one of the original 500 ones, so maybe that's the reason for having the old type of wheel bolts.

Yes the shape around the bolt hole will work best with conical ones

There were a couple of variations with that type of wheel rim, the bolt holes as has been pointed out and also the 500R wheels were 3.5” wide, the same as the earlier 500 models but the rims fitted to the early Fiat 126 models were 4” wide to facilitate 135 wide tyres.
