General 500/126 Engine rebuild

I would be grateful if anyone could comment on someone who advertises on Car & Classic for 500/126 engine & gearbox rebuilds.

A search under Home/ Parts (500/126 engines) seems to pull him up , I think based in London and claiming over 30 yrs of experience although listed as a private seller . ( First name is Martin)

His prices seem reasonable but would feel happier if any other forum users have experience of using him?

There is a VERY good 500/126 engine builder just outside Weston-Super-Mare (Somerset)---I know him well, and highly recommend him. If you contact me direct [email protected] I will give you his contact details. These engine, although small, are not cheap to build PROPERLY. I am in the process of up-rating a 500 to 595, and the parts bill alone is close to £2000 (depending as to what can be used from the original engine). However, be assure that this gent will build you a very good engine---it is what he specialises in.
