I am lookin to put 18" alloys on my car, i know the ride will be rough but still, also lookin to drop it. how much arch mods would this take?

you will regret putting 18 on it kills acceleration goes through wheel bearings like hot knife through butter!!! (ask fiat howmuch they want to change front and back wheel bearings) add that price to your monthly costs cos they will need to be changed monthly if you drive the car daily.

You'll need serious arch mods to drop it too.
Really would be too much of a job.
Get 17's and drop it, or 18's and don't.

After considering costs, I think it will just be the 17" with a 50 or 60 drop!

why drop it that much?????
it has been proven that the car will handle better on the road at a 30-40mm drop than it does at +60mm drop the ride quality is also better!!!
personally i think the car looks better droped at 40mm any more and it looks silly!!! if you wanna go that low(60mm) go buy a nova!!!
also if you do manage to get the car down to 60mm how you gonna drive it??? wont go over speed bumps up kerbs over grass(ruling out all car shows on air fields!!) you will lose full lock on the steering and it will wreck your nice expensive sports tyres!!!!

Riclemus dropped his HGT 50mm on 17's and said it was awuful to drive!
He had to take chunks out of the rear arches, remove the front arch liners and trim the front bumper.
IMO 40mm is best for looks and a 30mm drop for handling

there was a bravo at crail on sunday dropped 40mm on 18-7.5 no arch mods! so don't see why it can't be done.
My last bravo was dropped 40mm on 17" and there was still alot of room in the arches! I'll drop it 50 no bother!

I have responded to this a quite a few times now. I have 18 x 7.5 MasItaly VT5's with 215/35 tyres. Also lowered 40mm with G-Max springs. A bit of very simple DIY work to the arch lip and inside of the arches to get full lock and your away! No rubbing. I also have the AS Design skirts on and Indy rear bumper and these needed a little trimming also. I have to agree that the handling of the car isn't good but with the 1.4SX I'm never going that fast any way!

Hey cheers for putting the pic of my car up on this forum, been trying to do that for quite a while.
I do agree mousey that 18's are quite a bit more expensive, as are the tyres. I was thinking the same but I came to the conclusion that when I was putting the money into alloys that for a bit more I could have the best. I used the same principle when putting on the bodykit. Don't know why I'm telling you this because I like being one of the only Bravos with 18's but don't settle for second best!!
