Whats the screw on the back of the accelerator..?

Hi all
Theres a screw on the back of the accelerator pedal?Cant find anything in the manual.Is it some sort of speed inhibitor and is there an ideal setting for it..?

It stops you pressing the pedal too far and stretching/damaging/snapping the throttle cable.

Don't mess with it, it stops the pedal going down too far...i'm sure its to stop the variable potentiometer messing up...(very costly)

but doesnt the 1.2 have fly by wire throttle? why would it still need it? or am i just being a fool and dont really understand what fly by wire throttle is

In that case it stops you damaging the sensor that detects pedal position.
