My friend has a 2.0 focus and keeping up with that is a bitch in my 1.4 so i need powewr.
1.4 would be fine otherwise

I have the 1.8, which is quick enough for day to day driving, but i dont think its 'fast' by any means (remember its only actually 1.75cc). It'll be pretty much matched by any modern 1.6 family hatch. The best thing about it is that at the time i got it it was the best compromise between performance, style, and reasonable insurance for a young driver (it probably still is!).

My next car i'll defo be looking for something 150bhp+, something that throws you back in your seat when you accelerate, without needing to thrash it. If you can afford it, go for the HGT... but make sure its already had the cambelt change.

My mates focus is pretty crazy, an hes crazy to match, i want a 2.0 20v bravo but cant get insured on it, hes gettin it chipped aswell so no chance for me at the mo
