They're still a thing?

Yep, they're still going. :)

Going is one thing, but being ‘a thing’ is something else. I remember feeder being popular literally 20+ years ago.

Being slowly driven insane by their music on repeat while playing endurance races on the original Grand Turismo game on the first PlayStation as a teenager, when any car could be represented in 10 polygons or less.

I'm not saying it's all bad, you do occasionally get a goodun sneaking in, but the vast majority of what you hear on things like radio 1 is truly shocking!

As someone who spend many years in the 90s and early 2000s clubbing, I can 100% assure you there was plenty of terrible music back then as well.

And I remember when feeder was prime time radio 1..... those where the days, listening to my ripped CDs on my Sony Discman... good times (too poor to afford a mini disc player/recorder) early cold play, stereophonic, the eels, ash, gene, terrorvision, it’s all flooding back now.

Amazon prime everything these days and listen to current music as well as stuff from the past, couple of months back was listening to the old crooners, every era has its greats and there is still some great stuff about now.

Got to say I do pity my child...

I remember going out on long car journeys with my dad was a mix of 70s and 80s rock (think top gear sound track). Doobie Brothers, Dire straits, The scorpions, lynard skynard..the works.

Not sure but I feel as though Moog, Skrillex, Eminem, Hadouken! And the other EDM, Nu metal and occasional bit of early 00s emo music I listen to is either not child friendly..or by most measures noise...

It's not that I'm unaware of good music I just seem to like ****e...

Lynyrd Skynyrd. Free Bird.

Not sure I’ll live long enough to hear a song better than that be written. And I’m 22!
