My flying club operated off what was once part of a much bigger B24 base. We had part of a taxiway and about 800 feet of the original runway which was massively wide for a Cessna so there was a narrow strip of new tarmac laid on top of the old much wider runway
Satnav would always try and take you to a dirt track leading into a farm yard but with no actual access to the airfield. We did at least have some buildings and a post code even if satnav did get it wrong. If it was a field just used to launch gliders, does it even have a recognised address/postcode that you could put into satnav?
I can appreciate the issue with trying to direct someone to a field in the middle of other fields though
