What's made you grumpy today?

Two things today, first the tax man 500 quid seriously?

Second the rabbits currently recovering from having spurs removed from his teeth for the 3rd time since December. I hate having to do it because its bad putting small furries under general anaesthetic and second I really don't get why he's suddenly having teeth issues. We had him for two and a half years with no issues, nothing has changed but suddenly it's happening. He hes chews, he has hay, but providing them doesn't mean he actually chew them! Little sod..at least he's back and happy though.

Great, I must get my magnetic flags for the bonnet and doors out of the garage too. (Thanks for the reminder Dave I'd forgotten I had those (y) )

i've not seen them around here, i guess poundland don't sell them?

be aware though we had magnetic FF signs and the place that made them said dont have them on in the rain or when doing over 60

I didn't know people worried about these things, interesting. Lidl is pronounced Leedl in German, but we pronounce it, erm, Lidl.

And Braun is Brown in German, but we pronounce it brawn. So the Germans have given in and call it Brawn too in our ads.

As for Aldi, well, I suppose either way will do, depends on how you stress words.

But the one I really can't stand is plastic pronounced with an r in it somewhere, it's a short a, period! And then they say prostrate, when they mean prostate, and that's just thick.

The young girl who was reporting on the tragic "Cheeki Rafiki" story said that they were returning from a " regarter"
I think she meant a "regatta".

police interceptors. they pull a guy with no insurance they cant give him 6 points on the spot as he already has 6 so they send him to court, the court give him another 8. but because if he is banned he would lose his job they let him keep his licence.

If he had hit someone and made them unable to work they would have been stuffed because he had no insurance to claim off

and now we get drunk girl diver who will be given smeg all

disqual 2 years costs, and some community service, so smeg all

no insurance & drunk

& crashed 2 cars into other cars

Driveway CSI took a bit of a turn today working on the bad Penny Punto. The drivers side headlight bulb was a daft after market 100W icewhite jobbie that had melted the terminal causing a short that was effecting the whole light circuit.
Retrofitted the correct bulb and all was well until I needed to remedy a poor earth fault on the tail light cluster.
This is where having nephews is a curse. Not only was my socket ratchet missing. Nobody knew who had "borrowed" it or that it was left in the mud on my sisters unfenced front garden.
Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!
Frustration would be an understatement. I gave my sister and most of the neighborhood a spirited and vocal lesson in proactive parenting and assured her that I will never work on any vehicle that belongs to her until the boys are taught some manners.
Over the last three to five years every other job I have done has taken on average 80% longer to do than is necessary due to missing "borrowed" tools and today was the last straw.
In the mean time my tools are in a locked box locked in my shed and the only key is with me at all times.
I also took time to walk the neighborhood and apologise to anyone with working ears.

"borrowed" taken without asking or any idea who, where, why or how long for. :bang:

This added to the frustration with Project Peterborough that was its ultimate demise. Three hours in barely above freezing temperatures to do a job that should have taken twenty minutes but someone had "borrowed" tools and gone out fishing certainly didn't help my bond with the car.

another buyer has dropped out of buying my flat at the last hurdle.... reason given was "it's a leasehold" GGRRRRR they knew this right from day one! Most annoying is the amount of money it cost me including a "leasholders information pack" at £70+ all wasted :bang:

small claims here I come......

karma for the pay rise

Think I'm getting old, was travelling back from work a clio driven by a spotty "yoof" pulls straight out of a blind stop sign nearly wiping me out and swan necking gracefully over the otherside of the road as he attempted to make a 95 degree turn at twice the speed most people do because well they stop at a stop sign. Luckily no one was coming the other way.

Following him along the village I got to take in the glorious details of this car, the trail of smoke from the exhaust, the passenger door mirror dangling, an under inflated rear tyre and came to the conclusion that however much his is insurance is charging him it really isn't enough. Statistic waiting to happen.
