You know what to do next time That's why I refuse to help family or friends. I can remember doing a factory restore on a friends laptop and because I did that I was responsible for every 'fault' that happened over the next year

The only people I help for free now are people on the forum! I even did a remote support session to fix a printer lol.

Yep, he's not that much of a friend anyway.

ChrisUK I thought it was normally the other way round lol! Anyway what made me grumpy? Hmmm well I was up at 5 ( why oh why TK Maxx!) and sonic though when iv finished work I'll clean my car thouroughly inside & out, got pressure washer out, washed it down with my cleaning stuff, then realise iv run out of microfibres and chamois.... Risked letting car drip dry and now it looks Almost as bad as it was, don't get time to valet it either, not happy...!

They're simple and easy gearboxes to work on (or so I've always said). I've fixed one before, just this later version is a little less simple in comparison to that on the mk3 Panda

Its early days yet though.

And easy to get a replacement if it can't be welded. Ought to try having a 1.4 16v, not pattern mani CATs when I last looked a few months back

More car related expense, air con is knackered and I can't cope with sitting in what must be 45 degrees. Spending nowt on this car for 24 months has come home to bite me in the arse...running total since april 800 quid.

Took my car to get the AC re-gassed to be told its leaking so they couldn't do it.:banghead:

Unlucky. Easier than you might think to trace. I managed to fix my own just by checking the pipes. One of mine had a hairline crack at the compressor side (most vibration) ordered a new pipe and worked perfectly after .

Gonna have a look later on today, the only leak under the car I've noticed was yesterday when I had it on for a bit but presumed it was just from the drain holes.

Edit: oh ffs...while walking past the car noticed the rear mount for the back box is dangling. Backbox it still quite solid tho so job for another month.
