Tonight at work i got talking to one of the regulars about the last local election (yes were an old mans pub)

I casually said, I voted but only a void vote, meaning I submitted a clean and unmarked poll card.

he went off on a huge rant about that its illigal to hand in blank cards and that its people like me that are the cause of hung parliments and the mess were in :bang:

My response, "Its my right to vote, but its my choice not to" just because I would not rather any of them, doesnt mean i cant vote.

I was mearly voicing my opinion in my own way

However last year my friend almost got the Polling Assistant at our station arrested, the rules at our station said "take all the time you require to mark your vote", so he walked in an spent 5 minutes looking at his card, genuinely not knowing which way to vote, bearing in mind there was NO que at the time. The assistant tapped his shoulder and asked him to hurry up. Which is illegal I think as it can be contrived as "Vote Manipulation" and trying to effect the outcome

yes chris a good idea. lets cut pensions to less make it so they will not get what they thought they would and leave em up **** creek without a paddle.
its 1k less per year pension, 55 extra per week than before

this discussion what the government says the union jumped the gun on has been going on over a year.
