lol id love to have a drive in a sei, they look so much fun to drive! Im not exactly the shortest person in the world and i think it looks a right laugh when you see a really tall person in such a small car lol

Got paid today...after paying rent, mum and gran back, personal trainer sessions and diesel...I've got £70 to last a month! Going to be a very boring month :(.

Sounds like 80% of drivers in Crawley...and there's no shortage of roundabouts either!!

It's almost as though the road planners sneezed on a map of West Sussex and put a roundabout wherever a blob of snot landed.

Rather close to being homeless, car-less etc. Just because my Xsara is in my parents name at the moment my mum is saying that she'll just sell it, therefore leaving me no way to commute 37.2 miles to work and back. Meaning i'll be jobless and car less.

I paid for the car, I've got evidence from the bloke who I purchased it off. Just because it's in my parents name at the moment is there any way I can change it to my name? Obviously without sending the V5 off?

A quick google brings this up

'It's the same as if a sale takes place, with dad as the vendor and you as the buyer. If he has a V5C registration certificate, dad must complete section 6 'new keeper or new name/new address details' of the V5C. Both of you must sign section 8 and send the V5C immediately to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1BA. You must retain the properly completed V5C/2 section.'

Not sure if you can without sending anything off. If worst comes to worst though just ask to change your shift to the same as mine and I could take you in.

I'm not sure where I heard this, but fairly sure just because its in your parents name, doesn't mean your not the owner. Think they look at who pays the bills for it etc.

Cheers for that, I'll read up more about it. I asked Karen at work if I could do early mornings or normal shift and she told me I could only do late nights, If im having varied shifts week to week so it messes up everything else i'll soon get tired of it :( Thanks for the offer of taking me in, I'll see what I can do. :D

Forge her signature, or call the DVLA and tell them you've lost the documents but that your mum wasnts to sign it over to your name. Unfortunately she works nights so will not be able to come to the phone (if they ask).

^This will be the last resort. Thanks for the suggestion :D

I pay all the bills for it, got proof of fuel and insurance paid etc. I guess I am the owner just not the keeper?

Focus failing her mot (n)
1)track rod end,£11 so no majorority there AND
2) Rear offside braking insufficient.

took my car to kwik fit as they do a free brake check and the guy who drove my car to the ramp and got the wheel off said he wouldnt take the drum off to see whats goin on inside as he said your drum looks corodid and it sounded like the wheel bearing was whining  with it being a sat aft if your bearing collapses we cant replace it.
He pulled the hb cable by the drum and the wheel stopped dead,so it either needs tightening inside, the pads are dead OR the cylinder needs replacing :bang: Just what i need :bang:

@Rawb: Why did you put the car in your parents name?? for cheaper insurance? if thats the case if you were to crash some insurances wont pay up as they always ask you 'are you the legal owner of the car' etc in your case, your not..
