some petrol stations now require you to pay before you fill. is pain in the arse

The £57 drive off I had at work today Guy smirked as he drove off. Got his plates though (Which are probably stolen) SIGH!

Ouch. We had one at work on Saturday for £41ish I believe, managed to get the plates as well, but doesn't help that the CCTV is ****e at work, so couldn't prove it.

i dont get how people can do this sort of thing, i wouldnt dream of doing anthing like it

Yeah it happens quite alot. Its just frustrating because alot of the ones that drive off come back as stolen plates and it goes down as a cash loss. At our place we dont have Registration Recognition and the company refuse to pay for it and then have the cheek to complain about the cash loss and how its the CSA's fault for letting it happen...What do they want us to do? Dive infront of the car?! Esshhh some people just aggrivate me.

What is Registration Recongition? Is that the automatic number plate reader I've seen in Asda before? If so, wish we had one (Would think Tesco would tbh...). Was a stage where we had to write down EVERY number plate...however, when we have to serve, do the stupid 5p off coupons, it wasn't possible, and doesn't help when we are one of the busyist<sp?> in the area.

Can understand why it is a pain in the arse...but does stop companies losing money...so can understand why they do it.

Pay @ Pump FTW! Love it, always amazes me when people dont do it, can understand older people, but often people are too scared to even try it...or **** it up the first time and then blame us.

Clubcard scanners are annoying, as they hardly ever work for us either, always get people coming in.

Is it the key fob or normal clubcard? Normal clubcard you can put into the payment reader first...but only the normal one...yes people are stupid enough to put their key fob in there

What it basically alerts you of is that the person has made off without paying before...Not just at your store, others as well. Then you have to get them to come in and pay first. They refuse to give us the funding for one but we are losing so much money because of it.

nah i been doing it for 2 years, on block relaese of 2 weeks, 4 times a year. not bothered about meeting people just a PITA being here. and not as simple as that as its not like uni were your in halls etc.. its in homestays where you stay in someone elses house lol
